Many crocheters wanted to make their blankets larger and use different weight yarns, so this pattern has some extra features added to help you make adjustments for size and weight. The 6-Day Kid Blanket (6DKB), originally written for a toddler size blanket made with chunky weight yarn, can easily be made in 6 days. If you do decide to make a larger blanket than the toddler version original, it will probably take you longer than 6 days. There is a chart below and a YouTube video to help you resize the pattern. Many creative people have made their own adaptations to the blanket that can give it a completely different look. The pattern with the photo of my best friend Mudkip laying on the blanket is the original pattern. This blanket can take on many different looks depending on where you change colors.
